Coverage of government meetings is a critical role of High Five Access Media. An informed population means an engaged population. We believe change is most effectively made at a local level. When government is held to account and monitored through public access media, all citizens benefit, whether they watch or not.
High Five Access Media provides coverage of Vail Town Council so you may stay engaged with the democratic process.
This coverage stems from a franchise agreement between the town and Comcast, which uses cables buried in your public land to distribute their signal. In return, Comcast provides a PEG (Public, Educational, Governmental) access television station on Channel 5, and also gives a portion of profits to the town to support High Five Access Media.
We also partner with the town to record Planning and Environmental Commission, Design and Review Board, and Local Housing Authority meetings, as well as other topics of interest to Vail residents and visitors.
All meetings replay several times on local cable Channel 5, Live on Five, Apple TV, Roku, and are available on demand here and on your OTT (over the top) device.
For agendas and meeting materials, visit the Town of Vail. The public is welcome to address their representatives at the appropriate times during meetings, either in person or remotely by registering.
